Our topic, Colour and Light, inspired us in our painting. We looked at Kandinsky and mixed our own colours to make concentric circles. This made a very striking display in school and also looked super on the front of the Curdridge Parish Magazine.

It was lovely to see so many families join us in the School Hall this week to enjoy watching our Nativity performances. We are very proud of how well our children sang, danced, played the  drums and spoke all whilst smiling! A lovely Christmas lunch was enjoyed Friday lunchtime, crackers and hats included, followed by a film in the hall. We wish you all a merry Christmas and best wishes for 2012.

In Class 4 this week we have been preparing for our carol service and our Christmas Fair.  On top of that we have been working hard to see how brilliant we are at Maths and English!  On Thursday we went to the luncheon club and sung our Christmas songs to the elderly of Curdridge with Mrs Paige and Mrs Shepherd. The luncheon club enjoyed it so much that they awarded us with a tasty box of biscuits!! We were all very excited about singing to them. On Friday the choir went to the old people’s home, the Grange, in Hedge End.  By the way the Christmas Fair is on Friday 9th of December 2011 from 5pm-7pm and we are providing the games.

Goodbye from Lewi, Ben and Tommy!

Today in Class 4 we met the Hampshire fire brigade. They told us all about road safety and investigating fires .Whatever you do you must not play or listen to any gadgets as you cross the road! We also learnt that you must always wear your seatbelt, and when cycling always wear a helmet. The three main things to do when crossing the road is STOP LOOK and LISTEN! The three main things to do if your clothes catch on fire is STOP DROP and ROLL. The last thing to do is tell your mum and dad to make up a fire plan, check your smoke alarms once a week, clean them twice a year and change their batteries once a year.
