Today, Thursday 31st January 2013, Class 3’s assembly was a blast!
We have been learning about newspapers and explorers but to make an assembly about them both, we had to merge the two ideas.
We had children selling newspapers. Then, someone bought a paper and read out loud, the articles about Explorers. We acted out Christopher Columbus, Robert Scott, Ibn Batuta and Marco Polo. We held up words that were key features of newspaper writing. We also held up signs and did actions and silly sounds to represent the punctuation!
Ellis said, “I really enjoyed the assembly and hope our parents did too!”
Josh added, “It was really great! I want to do it again!”
