This week class 4 has taken part in lots of learning activities, including mental multiplication and division in maths. (Phew that got our brains going!!) We have also done some art work. The pictures we worked on were swimming pool abstract art, which we are really enjoying!
In Geography, we went outside and we got some jugs of water and poured the water down a hill to see how the water reacted to the hill. It was very interesting because they did many different paths and tracks. All the groups water tracks were different because they were all in different places. By doing this experiment we found out how rivers are formed.

Class 3 are looking forward to their new history topic this term – the Anglo-Saxons. We’ve already looked at maps and where the Angles and the Saxons came from and we’ve been studying the names of places that still have the original Saxon names. In PE, we’ve had a special visitor to teach some holds, such as pike, dish and shoulder stands. (see photos!) We’ve also been writing instructions and using some seriously bossy language!
We’re missing friends who’ve moved up to another class or moved away, but we’ve also welcomed new classmates this year. Keep looking at our blog folks! We’re hoping to post something every week to keep everyone informed about our learning this year! Post your comments.
